Our Impressions and Reflections on Rome, Athens and the Islands 2017

“I would certainly recommend to anyone that has the chance to visit these places to go.  I knew there was a lot of history but I had no idea that there was so much history and culture.  I never thought I would like olives.  I loved the Greek hamburgers-which are completely different than American burgers as they have a lot more spices.  I was even impressed with the paintings and statues in the Sistine chapel and the Vatican Museum and I am not even much of a museum person. ITALY IS AMAZING and Greece is Great!”

“This was a great experience that I really enjoyed.  It was sometimes hard to follow all of the guide’s thoughts in the hot and blistering sun perhaps we could have had more background information given to us on the air conditioned coach.  The cruise was really amazing and overwhelming so it made that last day in Athens a little more challenging and rushed.”

“I am so happy that I choose to go on this trip.  I had the time of my life, learned new things, and made new friends.  I will never forget this experience and I hope to do another one again soon.  Thanks for taking me Mr. Platt and Ms. Perkins and am eternally grateful.”

“This trip is great for people who enjoy Greek and Roman mythology.  This is not a trip to just sit on the beach and relax but rather to do and learn things.  Early wake ups and learning are the norm and inevitable so kids that like to sleep in and not push themselves might find it challenging.  You have to have enthusiasm and push yourself to learn and grow rather than complain and sit around. “

“It was so much fun and I learned a lot.  I loved seeing the different range of people.  It was also an interesting experience to order food and talk when I didn’t speak the language.”

“This trip was pretty good but a little to fast paced.  It is hard to believe that we covered so much ground so fast.”

“Our guide Linda was super sweet.  I want to do what she does.  I loved seeing everything.  I even enjoyed dancing on the cruise ship.”

“The Greek people are very kind.  Things seemed to be much faster and more expensive in Rome.  Both places were very pretty and worth the long flights to get here.”

“This experience was so amazing.  I would do this again in a heart beat, even the sunburn.  I got rock awesome legs for all of the walking we did   and I had a great birthday.”
