Puno
“I loved this town. I even got a chance to show off my pool skills at a local billiards hall. It was the 5% club.”
Jessie
“The “highland limousines” were great fun. Another great cultural experience seeing the market there. The market made for an interesting comparison to how we shop in Kansas at the local grocery store.”
Winnie
“Beautiful city. I loved Lago Titicaca.”
Randy
“ Puno was a very pleasant surprise. I liked the experience. It was the stop on the way back to Julica that brought the Inca cosmology and the whole trip into sharp focus. I began to understand the Altoplano experience with a reverence on the level of Tibetan. I embrace the Buddhist cosmology as bringing meaning to a crazy world, But Sylvia (our guide) brought the Peruvian experience right into focus. ‘We know who we are when we know what we’ve done with earth’ Sylivia- The atmosphere there was amazing.”
Lou
“Cute little town. I was sad for all of what appeared to be starving dogs.”
Christa
“It was hard to breathe as the elevation was so high.”
Spencer
“It was very hard to breathe here.”
Morgan
“I enjoyed the ‘limo’ ride and the billiard tables to be interesting.”
Andrew
“I enjoyed the ‘limo ride’ and experiencing some of the night life the city had to offer.”
Luke
“Our taxi rides on bikes were sweet and the open air market was interesting especially the half butchered bull on the table top.”
Sam
“Visiting the open air market was fun and interesting. Lots of different types of Potatoes.”
Jan
“I discovered Peruvian style billards”
Cam
“The open air market with the bull’s head was insane, crazy to see what the difference was back home. Wish we had more time to explore the streets and the city.”
Lauren
“Puno was much more impressive that I expected. I had fun exploring.”
Zach
