Food and Tea

Picture
Food

“It was great at the beginning but it did get old since it was so different than my typical food at home.”
Stefan

“The food was definitely different, but in a good way.”
Johnathon

“I loved it.  One of the main reasons I went on the trip and it was amazing!”
Kavyn

“I really only enjoyed the family’s home cooked meal.  The smells of the city and the different environment and the different foods were difficult for me as they were so culturally different (gross). It did not help that I got sick.”
Dakota

“I was really excited to try duck and it wasn’t bad at all.  I will now have higher expectations from our local Chinese restaurants because I know the real deal now.”
Sara

“The food was amazing besides the McDonalds- ( yes I tried it once but only once)- I love food, so of course I wanted to try some “real” Chinese food .  Duck was new for me but I liked it.  There was a lot of variety in the foods we ate. (there are lots of noodles in the North- my teacher tells me this is because they grow wheat in the North)
John

Tea

“The tea tasting was great.  I loved the black lychee. Sara our host was so funny and informative. “
Dakota

“I really liked all of the tea”
Kade

“The tea tasting was so cool!  Each tea was my new favorite.  I even ate the leaves and fruit from the fruit tea.”
Kavyn

“Delicious”
Johnathon

“The numerous tea types were so interesting.  I couldn’t have imagined that such a broad array of tea even existed”
Stefan

“The tea ceremony was fun.  I loved our hostess, Sara, because made it funny and entertaining.  I think my favorite tea was lychee, the fruit and flower one and oolong tea.
Sara
