The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square

Picture
The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square

“This symbol of enigmatic Chinese dynasties and later communist rule was vast and certainly tiring to walk through but it was definitely worth it.  Passing under the mural of Mao Zedong was as Ruby our guide would say. “Hellah intimidating.”

Stefan

“I knew it was a big place but I was surprised by how large it actually was.  I did not expect that every time we would go through a courtyard we would go through a doorway of another major courtyard.”

Johnathon

“I thought this place was just a little big for the Emperor and his family. Lots and lots of walking which I am not a big fan”

Kade

“It was so long and big.  The detail on the buildings were beautiful.  There was so much history and legends about this place.  Our guide Michael shared so many great stories”

Dakota

“It was cool to look at all the different buildings and artifacts, and it felt awesome to be here as it used to be forbidden and here I was walking around it!”

Sara

“Well I really liked it as the buildings were my favorite colors-  red and gold.  I also could not believe how large it was.  Every time I thought we had come to an end there would be another large courtyard.”

John
