The Lama Temple

Picture
“I learned a couple of things at the Buddhist temple.  I learned the proper way to burn incense in the temple.  It involves bowing down three times after you light the incense stick.  I also learned that this temple houses the largest single tree wood carving of a Buddha.”

Sara

“Just being around all those spiritual people praying and stuff was touching.  Seeing how that Giant Buddha had an impact on people was interesting and inspiring.  The Giant Buddha and the whole atmosphere actually made me cry.”

Dakota

“This was my favorite place we visited”

Kade

“I prayed at each temple.  I was surprised that they gave us free incense.  The whole experience was so peaceful.  I had done rituals but doing it in China was a new experience.  It was way more spiritual than I expected.  I was very emotional.”

Kavyn

“Five words: Giant Buddha, one tree. Wow.”

Johnathon

“Somber, humbling and a low key spiritual moment was had by me at Tibetan Lama Temple.  Praying next to Ruby was definitely a highlight.  I was glad I was able to get one of the old white Tibetan scarfs for my family.”

Stefan

“I could not believe how large some of the statues of Buddha were.  In fact one of them was carved from a single tree and was a Guinness Book of World Record’s holder.  I also could not believe how many different types of Buddhist statues were there for people to pray to.  There were lots of people here praying as well.”

John

"I was impressed with the number of people, temples and carvings at this incredible place."
